Monitoring Evaluation & Learning

Verena has 10 years of experience working with social and development organisations in Brazil, Latin America and Africa on M&E, advocacy and learning in the areas of gender and women’s empowerment, education, health, and social movement. She helps clients to design and implement M&E interventions that combine collaborative and participatory methodologies such as Theory of Change, Outcome Mapping / Outcome Harvesting and Participatory (Focus Group-based) Diagnostics with ‘Big Data’ analysis and media/content analysis. In recent years she has conducted and implemented M&E projects in the areas of youth, education, health, gender and innovation. She has also worked with international funding partners on strategic planning and M&E systems. Integral to her work is the ambition to mentor, coach, and train primary change agents (incl. local communities, movement makers such as youth change champions/peers, local and national government change agents) to use the empowering methods and tools that are promoted by Collaborative Impact.
