Gurshabad works as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) expert in international development, with experience since 2011 in the areas of sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, natural resource management, maternal and child health, gender and social inclusion, conflict and displacement, and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). He specialises in localising MEL efforts and learning from failure to enable transformative action.

He has led and supported the design and implementation of numerous evaluation and learning frameworks with a range of clients in India and Myanmar, including international foundations, UN agencies, and international NGOs and national NGOs.

Gurshabad practices art and is widely appreciated for his excellence in create process design and facilitation of (large and small) multi-stakeholder groups, as well as for his sharp systems thinking, warm empathy, and patience in accompanying learners.
